What is GILA?
The brand-new Geneva International Legal Association ("GILA"), launched on June 26, 2024, which aims to promote Geneva as one of the international capitals of law and legal services.
How will GILA promote Geneva as one of the international capitals of law and legal services?
Firstly, by launching and hosting, from 10-12 March 2025, the very first Geneva International Legal Week ("GILW"), a conference designed to enhance Geneva’s attractiveness and promote Swiss law locally and internationally. GILW's will include conferences on various topics such as commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (ADR), new legal technologies (legal tech), and a forum dedicated to in-house lawyers.
But also, by working to promote the use of English in the resolution of disputes.
In any event, by bringing together numerous players from the world of law and Geneva's economy to encourage exchanges and collaboration in resolving disputes in Geneva, particularly in the judicial, economic, political, academic, and technological spheres.
